I recently stayed at Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau Bahamas and One Particular Harbour and I gotta say, it was fabulous! Although there were some surprises along the way.
Here’s my full (and honest) review of this property. This review is no way sponsored – I purchased my stay here and am writing this to help my fellow travelers out!
My husband and I stayed at the Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau before heading over to the Exumas Bahamas (which I highly recommend!)
Margaritaville Nassau Bahamas Beach Resort stand-out features
Many people (myself included!) chose this resort for their Nassau stay based on:
- Location in the heart of Nassau
- Waterpark
- Beach
- Fun, party vibes known with the Margaritaville brand
Let’s dive into these highlights and the other property details.
Room options & pricingWhere is Margaritaville Bahamas?

Located in the heart of Nassau, Margaritaville is located just minutes away (on foot or via car) from the cruise port and downtown Nassau, including the Straw Market.
It’s about a 20-30 minute cab ride from the airport.
The location is convenient for walking to other popular spots in Nassau, which means there’s no need for a rental car when you’re in Nassau. Plus with many tours willing to pick up from the resort, you really won’t need to worry about transportation
Fins Up Water Park – honest review of this Margaritaville attraction

Access to the waterpark is included for hotel guests. Here are the features in the waterpark…
- Lazy river
- Four waterslides
- Surf pool
- Zero entry pool, perfect for young kids
- Jumping platform into plunge pool
Honestly, this water park was an unexpected part of our Bahamas trip. My husband and I weren’t sure if we’d enjoy it since it was just the two of us without kids on this trip. But it was actually really fun! The lazy river was our favorite part.
There seems to be plenty of lounge chairs near the park and on the beach, and easy enough to plop your towels and flip flops nearby to enjoy the day in the sun.
There are lockers available for rental if you bring more stuff with you.
I especially liked that there was a lot of variety in scenery, food, and activity so we weren’t bored for a single second of our trip.
With day passes to the park available, I can see it getting really busy during peak season like summertime or winter break. So maybe just get to the pool early during those times of the year.
There’s also multiple places to eat at the waterpark and in the Margaritaville Resort Tower. More on that in a bit!
Margaritaville Bahamas adult-only option

While the water park is fun for adults (my husband and I truly enjoyed it while our kids stayed home with grandma), Margaritaville does a good job allowing parents to be parents.
On the 4th floor of the Margaritaville Resort Tower is the adult only pool and bar. The bar is right next to the pool and is a bit more of a quiet, calm space in comparison to the water park.
It’s an infinity pool with views of the beach and waterpark below. There’s also an adult-only hot tub nearby.
👎My husband and I were a bit disappointed there wasn’t a swim-up bar in the adult pool. That would have made the experience so much better.

I mean, we can’t really talk about The Bahamas without talking about the beaches!
Margaritaville does have a private beach, complete with beach chairs, palm trees and even water sports for rental.
However, the beach is blended with Junkanoo Beach, which is an incredibly popular beach in downtown Nassau. There is a security guard and chairs for hotel guests. They were taken quickly each day I was there.
The sand is soft and cove is protected from large waves so it’s a great swimming beach!
👎I’ve traveled all over the Caribbean from Aruba to Turks and Caicos, the Cayman Islands to St Kitts and Nevis, and I can say without a doubt that Junkanoo Beach is the busiest beach I’ve seen in the Caribbean.
Margaritaville Resort and One Particular Harbour rooms
Just a note: this resort actually has two hotels on-site. The Margaritaville Resort has hotel rooms and suites, and the other building, One Particular Harbour has residence-style accommodations.
Room review

I actually stayed at the One Particular Harbor ‘residences’ which have a few different options. My husband and I were comfortable in the Oceanfront Studio King Residence.
Which basically meant there was a small kitchenette, not very different from a full-service regular hotel room with a mini fridge and microwave. There was a small sink and a few cabinets with dishes for small meals.
There was also a two-burner stove to round out the kitchenette. My husband and I didn’t use this part of the room much, as we focused on restaurants, the beach and the pools.
I did enjoy the use of the in-suite washer and dryer though! Super handy to keep my swimwear dry and clean.
A few more thoughts:
- Comfortable bed
- Awesome balcony
- Excellent view and fun to watch the cruise ships
- Laid back pool and hot tub on-site (vs the Margaritaville water park)
Lastly, staying at One Particular Harbour gave us access to the sister property, British Colonial and their private beach. This was a nice perk and gave us more beach options than the packed Junkanoo Beach.
For families or those wanting a bit more space, there are plenty of connected room and suite options for varying needs.

As part of this honest Margaritaville Bahamas review, I can’t skip the food on site! Between the Margaritaville Resort Tower and One Particular Harbour Tower, there are plenty of options for food.
Over the course of our stay, my husband and I ate at almost every option on the resort.
- 12 Volt Bar: great for to-go food to take to your chair by the pool or beach. Really enjoyed the mahi-mahi fish tacos.
- Feeding Frenzy: pool-side with just a few staples. Burgers, salads, wraps, etc. Burgers and salads are good.
- Vacation Café: probably the most popular breakfast spot as they have a full menu. Just watch the course because it closes for gaps of the day.
- Joe Merchant’s Bakery: perfect for morning coffee or something light. I don’t drink coffee but my husband enjoyed it.
- Frank & Lola’s Pizzeria: excellent food. Salad, sanwiches and pizza all good. Large portions. Cheap and delicious garlic knots!
- Milk + Cream: great spot for a sweet treat anytime you’re at the Margaritaville Bahamas!
- JWB Prime Steak and Seafood: the most expensive option but probably the best food we had on the resort! Just be sure to make a reservation.
👎A downfall we found at the hotel property is that most restaurants closed by 5pm, which didn’t make a lot of sense to me.
More hotel features you may like

Of course, staying at a Margaritaville Resort, some of the pull is the vibe of the place! From famous Jimmy Buffet songs to the overall beach theme, it’s just a fun time.
Here are a few more options at the Margaritaville Nassau you may enjoy:
- Margaritaville store (think souvenirs, sunblock, etc)
- St. Somewhere Spa
- Parakeets Kids’ Club
- Icons Entertainment Center with bowling, theater, arcade and bar
Final thoughts: who is Margaritaville hotel for?

If you’re looking for fun vibes yet high end hotel in a great location in Nassau, Maragaritaville is an absolute must!
This resort is perfect for:
- Beach lovers who want easy beach access
- Families who want to enjoy endless hours at the pool
- Those who want to stay near the heart of Nassau
It’s a property I’d recommend when staying at in The Bahamas. Although it was busier than my usual style, it’s a fun adventure for a few days!
