True story: I recently met up with some fellow travel creators near Seattle, Washington. We each brought our favorite travel item for a gift exchange and shared one of our most favorite items with each other!
After the gift exchange and some work was done, we also explored all the things to do on the San Juan Islands, which is a fun area in Washington state, if you’ve never been!
Anyway, most of the items on this list came from that gift exchange! These are truly the best travel accessories, tested from those of us who make a living traveling!
Good gifts for travelers
Let’s start this list off with something nearly everyone can use….
1. Well Traveled packing cubes
Okay, after traveling for work for decades, I’ve tried more than a few brands of packing cubes. My absolute favorite are these Well Traveled compression packing cubes. They’re the one item I never travel without and always recommend them to everyone!
They come in a variety of sizes, and have expandable zippers so they can reduce down to really pack things in, or expand if needed on the return home.
2. Magnetic battery portable charger
This portable charger from Anker is a must-have! It can charge phones super fast, and it even comes with a stand, so you can watch videos or have a video call hands-free while you charge.
I’ve personally traveled with Anker portable chargers for years internationally for my laptop as I visited the best beaches in Thailand, Greek islands like Santorini and Mykonos, explored all around Turks and Caicos and more.
But this wireless version?! It’s exactly the kind of gift a traveler will actually use!
3. Cord organizer
Speaking of tech, help them keep all their cables, chargers, and gadgets organized with a Travelon Tech Organizer. It’s the perfect size to slip into a backpack or suitcase, keeping everything neat and easy to find. No more tangled cables!
4. Travel scarf with hidden pocket
This isn’t just any scarf. The Waypoint Goods Travel Scarf has a hidden pocket where you can store your passport, cash, or other important items. It’s stylish and practical, keeping your valuables safe and your outfit chic.
Whether the person you’re buying for is traveling during the wintertime, or to a cold destination, this scarf is a perfect accessory that’s practical and keeps valuables safe!
5. Beekeeper’s Naturals spray and immune support
For the health-conscious traveler, Beekeeper’s Naturals Propolis Throat Spray and Soothing Honey Cough Drops is a thoughtful addition to any travel kit. This natural remedy is known for its soothing properties, especially for throat relief.
Long flights and changes in climate can take a toll on one’s health when traveling, and a quick spritz of honey propolis can help soothe a scratchy throat, boost the immune system, and keep them feeling their best. Its compact size makes it easy to carry in a pocket or purse, ensuring it’s always on hand when needed.
Gift this to your traveler friend to help them stay healthy and energized throughout their vacation!
6. Beach towel with hidden zipper pocket
One of my top travel accessories, and a perfect Christmas gift for travelers headed to the beach is this beach towel with a hidden zipper pocket. This travel beach towel is lightweight and dries easily. I first took it on a budget trip to Belize in 2019, and it’s come with me to dozens of destinations since then!
The one in the main photo above is tan, but it comes in a variety of colors – truly something for everyone! If you’re looking for good gifts for travelers who love the beach, this is it, for sure.
And bonus – the beach towel doubles as a blanket during a flight, too!
7. Travel fan
Speaking of tropical destinations, one of the best gifts for travellers heading to a hot destination is a portable fan! It can be a lifesaver.
It’s small enough to fit in a purse or a backpack pocket and can provide a quick breeze anytime your gift recipient is feeling overheated while exploring a sunny city or relaxing on a tropical beach.
8. Level8 Luggage
One of my favorite luggage companies – and the luggage set I recommend to every traveler is from Level8. Upgrading to hard shell luggage has been a game changer for me!
I now have several pieces from the company, but my favorite is the 20″ Voyager, perfect for carry-on size luggage. The wheels roll like a breeze, and it’s like a little piece of luxury is making a vacation that much better.

9. Travel photo session
Capture the moment when traveling! Flytographer is one of my very favorite souvenirs. You can purchase a gift card for a Flytographer photo session to your traveling loved one.
Flytographer is a photo company that uses local photographers all over the world. I’ve used their services many times, and I always get great vacation photos!
This type of gift is great for friends trip, family vacation, couples travel and so many more scenarios! Get $25 off your first Flytographer purchase using this link!
10. Tech organizer
Help them keep all their cables, chargers, and gadgets organized with a Travelon Tech Organizer. It’s the perfect size to slip into a backpack or suitcase, keeping everything neat and easy to find. No more tangled cables!
11. Re-lyte Hydration
Staying hydrated while traveling is crucial, but it’s not always easy to keep up with water intake, especially when you need more of it while flying. That’s where Re-Lyte Hydration comes in.
This electrolyte-packed powder can be added to any bottle of water to help replenish essential minerals lost during long travel days or active adventures. I recently added hydration packs to my water while traveling to Portugal, and it seriously makes such a huge difference.
I personally love the mixed berry best, but there’s other flavors like watermelon lime or lemon lime that are popular, too. This is soooo deserving of a spot on this list of good gifts for travelers!
12. Sleep mask
Looking for the best travel sleep mask that won’t break the bank? This one is lightweight and includes blackout so you won’t see a thing with it on!
13. Body Glide and tangle spray
For the beach-goer on your list, this is the perfect combination.
Body Glide prevents chafing during long walks or hikes, especially useful in hot or humid places. And this tangle spray can keep hair looking good on the go, even if they’re in and out of the water.
14. Foldable duffel bag
Okay, this is for the serious shopper and traveler – or maybe for someone who tends to over-pack and struggle to bring it all back home!
This foldable duffel bag is super lightweight and takes up almost no space when it’s folded up – on the way to the destination. Then, when more space is needed to get the extra items home, just unfold it and you’re ready to pack all the extra goodies.
A unique item on this list of good gifts for travelers, for sure.
15. Tenikle tripod
Does your favorite traveler love to taking photos? The Tenikle tripod can help them capture the perfect shot every time. It’s flexible, so they can wrap it around a tree branch, fence, or anything really, to get those hard-to-get angles. Plus, it’s lightweight, making it easy to carry around on any adventure.
I love my purple Tenikle tripod, and it’s easy enough to fit in my hiking backpack, beach bag, or small shoulder bag. I’ve perched it on rocks during a Colorado drone trip, attached it to a mirror on an elevator in Lisbon, and so many more places! It’s such a fun travel item!
16. Zestt travel scarf
Another great scarf option, the Zestt Dreamsoft Travel Scarf is lightweight and comes in various fun colors. It’s perfect for dressing up a simple outfit or adding an extra layer on a cooler day.
This travel scarf was recommended by my friend Cindy, who runs the site Visit Ohio Today, and is always looking so stylish in her layers!
